Heritage Advisory Committee

That the minutes from the April 12, 2021 meeting of the Heritage Guelph Committee, be approved.

Heritage Guelph does not recommend that the buildings at 9 King Edward Place be protected through individual designation under section 29, Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act.

That Heritage Guelph supports the recommendation made by the CHRIA for 65 Delhi Street in that a Cultural Heritage Conservation Plan be developed for the property’s heritage attributes (to the satisfaction of the Senior Heritage Planner).

1. That Heritage Guelph congratulates the County of Wellington on the development plan AND: 2. That Heritage Guelph recommends that the upgrades (egress routes, accessibility ramp etc.) to the building are done in a sympathetic way AND: 3. That 55 Delhi Street is considered when addressing the upgrades at this location.

1. That Heritage Guelph supports the property owner’s proposal to construct a detached, single-storey accessory building in the rear yard of 62 Mary Street, as proposed in the elevation drawings of heritage permit application HP21-0006 presented at the May 10, 2021 meeting of Heritage Guelph; and 2. That any modifications necessary to complete the design that are minor in nature may be dealt with by the Senior Heritage Planner.

That Heritage Guelph support a Council decision to either: a. change the priority of the Ward West HCD study in favour of a Reformatory HCD study, or b. concurrently fund a Reformatory HCD study and a Ward West HCD Study.

That the Heritage Guelph Meeting be adjourned at 1:18pm.
