Arts and Culture Advisory Committee Minutes: March 26, 2026 -1 1. That the minutes from the February 26, 2026, meeting of the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee, be approved.

1. That the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee receive the staff report titled "Guelph Museums & Culture Strategic Plan" dated March 26, 2026. 2. That the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee provide the following comments for staff's consideration regarding the proposed Museums and Culture Strategic Plan 2026-2030:  Consider the following feedback as it relates to the current influences: o Remove or replace COVID recovery with Poly-crisis o Integrating health with well being (Health & Well being) o Add Affordability & Increasing Wealth Gap o Open data should be considered in a broader category that could encompass AI and access to archives o Critical thinking – expand or add “the demand for” or “need for” on the forces  Consider the following feedback as it relates to the current mandate: o Adding in a point to include connection to the place and space o Adding language to reconciliation to the mandate o Including social connection and cohesion  Consider the following feedback as it relates to the strategic directions: Arts and Culture Advisory Committee Minutes: March 26, 2026 -2 o Removing the wording full and truthful o Adding: Adapt evolving histories and perspectives.
